Police are investigating allegations of anti-Semitism made by a Jewish group at Pride in London.
A group of Jewish participants in the parade complained to police about a number of pro-Palestine activists at the event, which was held in London last weekend.
According to Jewish News, the group allege that one of the activists “pushed forward” and shouted “F*** the Jews”.
The incident was reported to stewards, who took the complaints to police. Witness statements were taken in regard to the incident.
The Campaign Against Anti-Semitism told the website: “We commend these witnesses for coming forward to report anti-Jewish racism.
“We are pleased that the police are taking seriously this hijacking of the London pride parade by a small group of people who targeted LGBT Jews for abuse.
A Met spokesperson said they “were called to allegations of anti-Semitic comments made during the Pride march on Saturday 27 June at 15:00hrs”
The spokesperson added: “The comments were made by a man and woman near the end of the march on Victoria Embankment. Police are investigating the matter.
“If anyone has any information, they are asked to call Police on 101 quoting 6528248/15 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
